Someone made Assassin’s Creed work on an Android smartwatch, because why not
Wear OS might be the talking point among Samsung and Android enthusiasts, but a smartwatch decided that Wear OS wasn’t good enough and went for full Android 10 instead. And to really bring things home, someone managed to get Assassin’s Creed to work on the smartwatch.
It wasn’t a typo; MBReviews’ Mark B streamed Assassin’s Creed Unity with a Google Stadia connected controller.
The game performed surprisingly well on the small 1.6-inch ISP 400×400 display, despite the smartwatch only rocking 4GB of RAM. However, Mark notes in their Reviews on Kospet Optimus 2 that the experience of playing Stadia on a smartwatch “was a very strange experience” and that Assassins Creed sometimes suffered from a certain audio lag.

The Kospet Optimus 2 seems to have taken the kitchen sink approach by inserting a lot of features into the watch. Of course, you’ll find smartwatch staples like a heart rate monitor and SpO2 sensor, 31 sport modes, Bluetooth 5 and 4G connectivity. But you will also find features that are not normally found in the best Android smartwatches.
For example, the Kospet Optimus 2 comes with a 13MP rotating camera with a Sony IMX214 sensor capable of recording 1080p video. For reference, this was the same sensor used on the Nexus 6 of yore.
There’s also a whopping 64GB of internal storage – 4x more than the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 – and a massive 1260mAh battery. The watch is also powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 and can run in high performance “Android mode” for up to two days, but it also has a Lite mode when you don’t need a full smartphone running on your phone. wrist.
And despite squeezing all of that into a smartwatch, the Optimus 2 isn’t much bigger than the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, but it’s significantly thicker. That said, if you’re looking for a fun smartwatch to play on (because who isn’t?), This might be the one.
